Maybe it is now time to educate them about today's major issues. They are the ones who might be able to change the problems like, obesity, drug abuse, war.

About a month ago, I was observing my 23 month old grandson looking at a book while in the car. I was amazed at the attention he was putting into the book. OK, he is a bright lad, but it still amazed me how he was studying the pictures and numbers in the small book.

He wasn't just looking at the pictures, he was intently studying and comparing the different pictures. This made me realize how much children do learn from such an early age and the importance of giving them good material to learn from.

There are some good books out there but what if you can't find one you like?
